Acer has also announced a new Android smartphone that packs a huge 4.8-inch 1024 x 480 display, trying to outshine other Android phones in the market. The large screen of this Acer Android phone is great for web browsing and movies. The handset packs a fast 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 8-megapixel camera with auto-focus and flash and 720p HD video recording capability. There is also a 2-megapixel camera on the front for video calls.

Acer has announced a dual-screen laptop/tablet convertible which is known as Acer Iconia. The Acer Iconia packs two 14-inch touchscreen displays which allow it to be used in a tablet mode or as a traditional notebook with a secondary display that provides programmable dynamic keys for keyboards or buttons etc.

Some photos have surfaced claiming to be the Motorola’s upcoming Nvidia Tegra 2 powered Android smartphone – the Motorola Olympus. The device in the picture looks pretty much like the Motorola Defy at first glance but with different volume controls on the right hand side and possibly a front-facing camera in the top bezel.
