If you love watching movies on the go, Toshiba has just announced a pair of perfect devices for you. The newly announced Toshiba’s portable DVD players are named REGZA SD-P96DT and SD-P76S which have a 9-inch screen and a 7-inch screen respectively.
The larger 9-inch player has a screen with WVGA resolution and is equipped with 1-Seg digital and analog TV tuners. And it packs a battery that allows up to 6 hours of operation. The smaller 7-inch player does not have a built-in TV tuner. Its screen offers a resolution of 480 X 234 and has a battery that is good for 3 hours.
The two Toshiba portable DVD players are capable of handling formats including DivX, MP3/WMA, and JPEG. They also come included with a car charger, A/V cable, and remote control. The 9-inch model will ship in Japan in early December, while the 7-inch model will arrive in mid-January next year.
