Acer has announced a dual-screen laptop/tablet convertible which is known as Acer Iconia. The Acer Iconia packs two 14-inch touchscreen displays which allow it to be used in a tablet mode or as a traditional notebook with a secondary display that provides programmable dynamic keys for keyboards or buttons etc.
The Acer Iconia notebook/tablet packs pretty cool specs. It has an Intel Core i5 processor, along with WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity. It also has HDMI and VGA outputs, 320GB to 750GB HDD options, a 1280 X 1024 webcam, and a resolution of 1366×768 on each of the 14-inch displays.
The Acer Iconia dual-screen laptop runs Windows 7 Home Premium. As mentioned, the second display can be programmed to show you a virtual keyboard while it’s used in a notebook mode and you can even rest your fingers on the virtual keyboard without hitting the keys (while your hands get little tired of typing). Everything sounds cool except its weight, 6 pounds or 2.7kg which is definitely too heavy for me.
