Spain’s PAL Robotics has developed a humanoid service robot, called REEM-H2. This service robot is meant for use at public places as an entertainer, as well as helping transport some small packages etc. It can be useful in your house too for helping you out with some housework.
The little worry is it has a little scary-looking face which might pose itself as a threat to most kids. The face of this robot does not really look like a ghost face, although it’s deemed to be one. Instead, we think it looks more like a Ninja wearing a mask as if it’s hired for some kind of secret mission.
The REEM-H2 service robot packs a number of good systems including an autonomous navigation system, voice and face recognition and a chest-mounted touchscreen menu. PAL Robotics hopes to commercialize this robot soon so it can be used in venues such as hotels, museums, trade shows, airports, shopping malls etc.
