iPhone is made possible for viewing 3D by using a more straightforward solution called the i3DG. The i3DG is basically an analog device that does the 2D to 3D conversion. You just simply attach the i3DG to the screen of your iPhone. It actually uses a 45-degree mirror which allows images to show in 3D and viewable without wearing 3D glasses.
Such an analog solution is simpler and straightforward and it claims to be compatible with a wide range applications from simple 3D videos, animations and accelerometer-based games. The i3DG has won an honorary mention at Ars Electronica Festival 2010 and will be headed for an exhibition at the International Film Festival in Rotterdam during 2011. Watch the clip below for it in action.
