
Samsung has announced a new handset in its Samsung Galaxy S line for Verizon Wireless, which is called Samsung Continuum or SCH-i400. The Samsung Continuum packs two super AMOLED displays – a 3.4-inch display as the primary screen and a 1.8-inch display which allows you have quick check for information including news, social networking streams and notifications etc.
The Samsung Continuum runs Android 2.1 and it’s packed with a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, GPS, headphone jack, Allshare, social hub and a microSD card slot (up to 32GB).
The handset also has a grip sensor which will light up the 1.8-inch ticker display when the bottom of the phone is touched. This Samsung handset will start taking orders at Verizon store starting from November 11 and is priced at $200 on contract after a $100 mail-in rebate.
