AUO has launched a 14-inch solar-powered touch keyboard laptop. This laptop is fitted with a solar panel that measures 2.1mm in thickness. The solar panel allows the notebook to soak up sunlight which is able to help it save up to 20% of power usage.
The solar panel is built into the notebook’s keyboard and cover which is able to extract extra power from sunlight and even artificial light sources even when the notebook is closed. The solar-powered keyboard laptop will be showcased by AUO at the upcoming FPD International 2010 that will kick off on Nov 10th in Japan.
