Sharp had announced two Galapagos Android-powered eBook readers at the end of September. And they’re now are said to be headed for a release in Japan on December 10th. The 5.5-inch model is expected to cost around $476, while the 10.8-inch model will be priced around $714 and come included with an 8GB SD card. The larger model is more expensive than the Apple iPad which sells at $580 only in Japan.

The Acer Liquid Metal Android phone is possibly headed for a US release soon. The Acer smartphone had hit the FCC sometime in October, and according to a senior Acer official, they’re currently in the process of evaluating the handset. The handset is a GSM device which means that it’ll be usable on either the AT&T or T-mobile network in the US.
To refresh your memory, the handset is powered by a 800MHz processor that is also found in T-Mobile G2 smartphone. It packs a 3.6-inch 800×480 screen, WiFi, Bluetooth, 5-megapixel camera, GPS and DLNA/uPnP support. The handset will come with the Android 2.2 Froyo OS.

Apparently, the Toshiba’s new Power TV allows you to bring it to the most deserted area where continuous power supply is a major problem. The Power TV is actually Toshiba’s battery-powered LED TV which is claimed to be able to run on its integrated battery for up to 2 hours.

LG has shown off a super fast Android 2.2 handset at the KES2010, an event in Korea which is equivalent to the Japanese CETEC or CES in Vegas. The said LG handset is known as LG LG-LU3000 which packs pretty impressive specs including a 3.8-inch WVGA IPS touchscreen, a 5MP camera with auto-focus, 1080P video capability with HDMI output, and the processor is an OMAP 3630 1GHz.
