Gresso, the luxury phone maker has announced its latest creation, known as the Luxor World Time, which is a cell phone that has world time function. The Luxor phone packs six independent “Swiss clockwork mechanisms” on its back which are used to tell times for five major cities (New York, London, Paris, Tokyo and Moscow). And having the sixth reserved for the owner to set whatever time he or she wants.

More rumors about a CDMA version of iPhone 4 coming to Verizon early in 2011. It was reported by Wall Street Journal but it’s not supported by any official words from Apple. The rumors also claim the CDMA chip to be built by Qualcomm, which will allow the CDMA iPhone 4 to be compatible with different networks in the US.

Camera phones have recently come with high-megapixel sensors. Such as the Panasonic Lumix and the Altek Leo Android phone which come packed with a 13MP and a 14MP sensor respectively. But they won’t stop there, as Sony plan to deliver their new 16.41MP Exmor R-based CMOS sensor to come in a phone near you shortly.
The Sony’s 16.4-megepixel sensor will allow a camera phone to have a full HD 1080p video recording capability at 30fps. It also uses back-illumination to reduce visual noises. It’ll no doubt show up in Sony Ericsson smart phones and also be offered to other manufacturers from January 2011.
