The Acer Liquid Metal smartphone has been made official and it’ll be available in the UK starting mid of November for a recommended retail price of £299. The handset is expected to run the Android 2.2 Froyo OS and it specs pretty nice specs.
The Acer Liquid Metal handset is well integrated with social networking sites including Facebook and Twitter. It uses the Acer’s own Breeze UI overlay with SocialJogger app that keeps you connected with the social streams.
The hardware of this handset includes a 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 processor, a 3.6-inch capacitive touchscreen and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording capability. It also supports WiFi N, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA connectivity, DLNA/UPnP and Dolby Surround technology for sound.
The handset has a stainless steel battery cover, chrome trims and there is LED above the display as notification light. It’s quite a nice mid-range Android device.
