A Tokyo-based robot venture, Activelink, a spin-off from Panasonic, has developed a power-amplifying suit that allows humans to carry loads up to 100kg. Unfortunately, a practical version of this robotic suit will only be ready at least five years from now.
Luckily, Activelink has developed a lighter version of the robotic suit, which is called Power Loader Light that is able to help boost the power of the legs up to 40kg/400N. This robotic suit weighs 38kg and it can be personalized for the designs or colors to suit your taste.
It can be yours, if you can afford the super expensive price tag of $233,000. Universities and similar institutions are entitled to get it at much cheaper price of $122,000 per unit under certain conditions.
