KDDI has shown off a tablet called the SMT-i9100 which packs a number of similarities to the Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet. The KDDI’s SMT-i9100 tablet packs a 7-inch LCD touch screen that boasts a resolution of 1,024×600.

The tablet also offers a number of goodies including WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth, 512MB RAM and is set to run the Android 2.2 Froyo. There are also a number of shorts with this KDDI device including the lacking of a front-facing camera and a 4GB internal memory that is too little for most needs.
The device has only a 2MP CMOS camera instead of a 3MP found on Galaxy Tab. And it will run the Ocean Observation UI instead of the TouchWiz UI. The SMT-i9100 tablet will start selling in February next year but no indication of price or whether it’ll be headed to US or Europe.
