A new Samsung phone, called the Samsung Freeform II or SCH-R360, has been announced on MetroPCS. The handset is an entry level phone which comes in a candybar form factor with QWERTY keyboard.
The Samsung Freeform II packs a 2.2-inch screen, a 1.3-megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth and a host of MetroPCS-specific services including the MetroNavigator GPS navigation, Metro 411 Directory Assistance, mobile IM, email and internet access.
The handset also has a microSD card slot which supports cards up to 16GB in capacity. It also hooks up to the MetroPCS 3G connectivity and packs a 1,000 mAh battery. The handset should now be available via MetroPCS retail stores or Samsung online store.
