Modu has been officially calling its touchscreen phone, Modu T as the world’s lightest 3.5G touchscreen handset. The company has now officially announced the Modu-T – the handset that’s reportedly recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s lightest touchscreen phone.
The Modu-T comes with basic features including a 2.2-inch screen, GPS, web access, Google search, social networking, YouTube, music player, FM radio and micro SD card support up to 32GB.
You can also expand the functionality of Modu T with a number of “fy” devices including camerafy, boostify, sportfy and textify. The “fy” devices do almost as what their names tell – such as camerafy adds a 5MP camera to your handset, boostify adds handsfree for calls and music, sportfy turns it into an exercise companion, and textfy adds a QWERTY keyboard as well as a 5MP camera.
The Modu-T handset is expected to be launched soon in various countries but the price has not been announced yet. The company also plans to launch a similar handset, which is called the Modu W but running Android and featuring WiFi.
