The new application is called WD Photos, which is free and allows you to view those photos stored on WD’s line of external storage products including the My Book World Edition, My Book Live, and WD ShareSpace etc.
You can also use the WD Photos app to access up to 285,000 of your favorite images that are placed in a shared folder. It also allows you to access those images from anywhere as long as you have a web connection. Therefore you can even show off those photos you’ve stored in your WD drives at home while you’re on the run or at the office.
The WD Photos app also has pinch and zoom functionality, horizontal split view for iPad and it also allows you to post your photos to Facebook right from your iPhone or iPad. Images can be viewed in a resolution of 1024 x 768 on the iPad.
