
It’s a hilarious week for Motorola as they have announced three Android smart phones which are known as the Motorola Spice, Droid Pro and Citrus smart phones.
The first Android phone in Moto’s announcement, Motorola Spice, comes in a QWERTY slider form factor. The handset runs Android 2.1 OS, and has a 3-megapixel camera that is backed by a fixed focus and 8x digital zoom. It also has 256MB ROM, 512MB ROM and a microSD card for expansion up to 32GB. It also packs Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFi, HSDPA at 3.6Mbps and a built-in aGPS. Another worth mentioning feature is it’s equipped with Moto’s BackTrack system which allows its back to be used as a touchpad. The Motorola Spice is expected to launch in Q4 but price and exact date still remain unknown currently.
The second smart phone is the Motorola DROID Pro which is also dubbed as a mobile office in your pocket that packs nice features and allows you to be connected on the run. The handset runs Android 2.2 Froyo, has a QWERTY on the front for texting and supports connectivity including Bluetooth, WiFi and DNLA for wirelessly pushing media around your home.
The Droid Pro also has a 3.1-inch HVGA screen (320×480 pixels), a 5-megapixel camera backed by dual-LED flash, auto focus and digital zoom. It also has aGPS and built-in GPS and allows you to be tracked on Google Maps or other Navigation maps. No words about the pricing and actual availability.
The last but not least, Moto CITRUS is a smart phone that runs Android 2.1 OS. It’s meant for use on Verizon or CDMA 1X EV-DO Rev 0 networks and has a 3-inch QVGA screen. It also has internal memory of 100MB and is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB and comes with a 2GB included. This handset also features the Backtrack which allows its back to be used as a touchpad. There is also no word on its pricing or the exact availability. More info should surface later.
