Toshiba has unveiled its new Canvio USB 3.0 external hard drives which are best for those who crave for faster speeds of data transfer. The new Canvio USB 3.0 external HDDs also come in stylish cases and offer strong encryption for your data.
The Canvio USB 3.0 HDDs are available in a number of storage capacities including the 500GB and 1TB. The drives come preloaded with the backup utility software known as NTI BackupNow EZ, which is only meant for the use on PC but not Mac.
The drives also support 256-bit data encryption which is strong enough to protect all your personal files and equipped with shock sensors and monitoring tools. These portable USB 3.0 drives are also backward compatible with USB 2.0.
They do not come too expensive – the 500GB is priced at $120, 750GB at $130 and the biggest 1TB is priced at $180.
