Dell has announced its new printer based on LED technology instead of the common laser technology that we’re familiar with. The Dell’s LED printer belongs to its 1000 series, which is capable of printing in black or color and considered as the world’s smallest letter color laser class printer.
The Dell’s LED printer also comes in compact size and the use of drum and fuser allows the printer to last lifetime for less maintenance. There are a number of models in the Dell LED printers such as the 1250c, which is dubbed as the world’s smallest letter color laser-class printer with the capability of printing in color at a speed of 10ppm, and consumes 8% less power than competing laser printers.
There is also the 1350cn/w model which is equipped with WiFi with LED technology for network printing and also consumes 11% less power than similar laser printers. The final model, 1355cn/w is dubbed as the world’s smallest 4-in-1 multi-functional laser-class printer which is able to print in color at 12ppm, and it has WiFi and network interface.
The Dell 1250c and 1350cn/w LED printers are priced at $229 and $329 respectively and available now. The 1355cn/w has two versions, which are with WiFi and without WiFi, priced at $449 and $399 respectively and will ship in November.
