We love bendable battery and flexible OLED display. With the the combination of two, shape-flexible and super lightweight gadgets will come true not far from now. Scientists from University of Standford have managed to develop some paper thin batteries, which are claimed to be more efficient than other similar forms.
The creation of the bendable batteries was based on the use of a layer of carbon nanotubes and a thin layer of lithium compound coated on both sides of a regular sheet of paper. When tested, the bendable batteries outperformed many other super-thin power sources.
The prototypes have been tested to be able to withstand up to 300 recharges without any problems. This is definitely a good news, so more flexible gadgets such as a rollable or scrollable e-book reader, will be coming our way soon.
