The Samsung NX100 camera, a successor of the NX10, finally gets officially announced. The Samsung NX100 mirrorless camera offers a 14.6 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, a 3-inch AMOLED LCD at 640×480, an ISO range of 100 to 3200 (with a boost mode up to 6400) and the capability of recording video in 720p HD (H.264).
The Samsung NX100 also offers other goodies including SD/ SHDC card slot, optional geo-tagging with GPS10 module and Sound Picture mode which allows you to record audio while a photo is taken.
The NX100 comes in a sleeker, compact and slim body and features an intuitive i-Function lens which has a dedicated i-Function button. By using the button and the ring on the lens, user can change various settings easily and quickly including the shutter speed, aperture, EV, WB, and ISO.
There is also a variety of lenses from Samsung including a a 60mm macro, a 18-200mm Super Zoom lens, and three more to be introduced in the second half of 2010 including 16mm, 85mm, and 16-80mm lenses. The Samsung NX series will also be expanded with more accessories such as Electronic Viewfinder, Flash and GPS tracker etc. But disappointingly, no word about the price or release date of the NX100 camera.
