
These days, gadgets always compete for both speeds and size. LaCie wants to stay ahead of anyone for both by having released two new USB 3.0 hard drives, known as Minimus and Rikiki, which deliver super fast speeds of USB 3.0 as well as being very small in sizes and claimed to be smallest in their class.
The two new LaCie USB 3.0 drives are housed in brushed aluminum cases and they come with the company’s Software Suite which is a great backup utility for both Mac and PC. There is also an online backup from Wuala Online Storage, with 10GB space, in the case you wanna back up your files to a remote site.
The Rikki USB 3.0 HDD is available in 500GB and 1TB with a price starting at $100 and is designed as an on-the-go drive. The Minimus HDD is available in 1TB and 2TB and starts at a price of $130 and it’s meant for stay-at-home desktop use. Both hard drives are available now. If you’ve got a computer with USB 3.0 ready, the LaCie drives have come just right in time.
