Zotac has added two new mini PCs, HD-ID33 and HD-ID34, in its Zbox HTPC series. These two mini PCs come in compact mini-ITX form factor and are the world’s first mini PCs with an integrated Blu-ray drive.
Both mini PCs feature a slot-loading Blu-ray drive that is capable of 4x Blue-ray, 8x DVD and 24x CD speeds and with the ability to write DVD±R/RW and CD±R/RW discs.
The two Zotac Zbox mini PCs are powered by a 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Atom D525 processor and a NVIDIA ION GPU with 512MB video RAM. Other common goodies on the two mini PCs are ability to stream video via WiFi N, HDMI, DVI-I ports with a VGA dongle included, 6-in-1 card reader, optical digital S/PDIF and 7.1 channel LPCM digital audio and DirectX 10.1 support. They also have two USB 2.0 ports (one is a eSATA/USB 2.0 combo) and two USB 3.0 high-speed ports.
The only difference between the two mini PCs is HD-ID34 comes included with 2GB RAM and a 2.5-inch 250GB HDD. For the HD-133, you’ll have to source for your own RAM and HDD.
These mini PCs come with no OS installed but they can run either Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Linux and a copy of Cyberlink’s PowerDVD 8 is also included. No words about the price and actual release date.
