Brain control interfaces are not new, a number of them have been proposed for the use with computers or game consoles. And now we have the first one that is specially made for the Apple devices including iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
Called the Xwave, is the first brainwave interface for the iPad, iPhone and iPod, which is a product of a company known as PLX Devices. The Xwave consists of a head-worn device powered by Neurosky, which pairs with its apps to sense the electrical pulses emitted by your brain and turns them into digital signals to control the iPhone, iPad etc.
The Xwave hardware costs $100 while the app is free which can be downloaded from iTunes and Apple app store. Once you’ve got the app installed and you have the Xwave headset, you’ll be able to control your Apple devices by just thinking and keep your hands busy for other tasks. A clip is included below showing how it’s used.
