The ViewSonic ViewPad 7 isn’t the only tablet that the company is making. It’s also got another tablet in its preparation which is called the ViewPad 100. The ViewPad 100 is a dual-boot tablet that is able to boot with Android and Windows 7.
The ViewPad 100 has a 10-inch 1024×600 two-point multi-touch capacitive display. It’s powered by an Intel Atom N455 processor and is loaded with 1GB DDR3 RAM. The dual boot capability of this device is handy. So, when you need to have quick access to email and Internet, you can boot into Android. And while you want more office applications or editing documents, you can then boot into Windows 7 to have a PC experience. ViewSonic is also looking at Google Chrome to be one of the dual-boot options.
The ViewSonic ViewPad also has WiFi connectivity but it has no 3G. It has a 16GB SSD and is likely to launch sometime in October in Europe for a price of £500 or or around $769.
