Not everyone knows how to perform a proper CPR. When it comes to emergency, if you don’t perform the right CPR, you may risk one’s life instead of saving the person. Here comes a useful gadget, called the PocketCPR which is specially designed to train or guide you through performing a proper CPR.
The PocketCPR provides audio and video instructions, which will walk you through the prelim stages including checking the responsiveness and calling for help. It also uses accelerometer to guide you through performing a proper CPR by measuring the depth and rate of the chest compressions to ensure you’re doing it properly and effectively.
The PocketCPR is FDA approved and available as “over-the-counter” rescue device which is priced around $149 or you can get it from their website. If you’re an iPhone owner, they also have an application for the iPhone which can make use of the iPhone’s accelerometer to let you perform the right CPR during emergency.
Please note that the iPhone PocketCPR app is not approved by FDA for the actual emergency. It carries on-screen instructions with the warning message “TRAINING USE ONLY”. But it should work as good as what the actual device offers.
