e-Reader that is able to harness sunlight for its power is definitely a plus as you can have more hours of reading e-books as long as the device is exposed to sunlight. BenQ plans to launch its solar-powered e-book reader, called the K60 sometime in 2011.
The K60 e-reader will come equipped with a photovoltaic (PV) panel that will act as an extension to its battery life so you can have longer hours of reading your e-books and watching video. The information about this BenQ e-reader is still on the sparse side. According to the picture above, it’s most likely a monochrome e-reader with an e-Ink display. BenQ has also unveiled a notebook with built-in PV panel on its cover which currently stays as a concept product.
