WD outs Livewire powerline AV network kit


Western Digital has announced its Livewire Powerline AV Network Kit, which is a solution that allows the use of your home power outlets to securely extend high-speed network and Internet connections throughout your entire home.

The system features HomePlug AV technology, which works in plug and play manner, allowing to deliver data at super high speeds of 200Mbps through the power outlets in your home. With such a super high-speed data highway in your home, it’s best to be used to stream full HD 1080p video up to seven connected devices. You can also stream video to four connected devices in the home theater and also gain additional three network ports by the router.

WD also offers a complete and integrated entertainment solution for your home. Such as you can store digital media on WD’s MyBook World edition home network drive stream photos, music and HD video via the Livewrite AV network kit to one of the WD media players or other DNLA-compliant devices located throughout your home. The new WD Livewire powerline AV network kit costs only $140 and turns your home power outlets into a complete high-speed content network.
