Technology flies – JVC has managed to pack full HD video recording capabilities on its newly announced JVC Picsio pocket cameras. These full HD pocket cams are available in two models, known as GC-WP10 and GC-FM2.
These full HD pocket video cameras work fine under low-light conditions. They’re equipped with a 3-inch touchscreen display, and compatible with Eye-Fi cards, allowing you to transfer files from the camcorder to your computer over WiFi.
Overall, the two JVC pocket cameras have a five megapixel native resolution, and are capable of recording full HD (1080p) video at 30 fps with image stabilization. Similar to other HD-capable cameras, they have an HDMI output for you to connect it to an HDTV for playback.
Other than full HD resolution, the JVC Picsio pocket cameras can also record other lower resolutions (so you can save some memory space), including 720p HD, iFrame (960 x 540/30p) and Quarter High Definition (960 x 540/30p).
These JVC pocket video cams also feature time-lapse recording, 4x digital zoom and their 3-inch touchscreen displays are responsive enough to your fingers even you’re wearing gloves.
The JVC PICSIO GC-FM2 will be available sometime in early September for a price of $180. While the waterproof JVC PICSIO GC-WP10 will also be available in September for a price of $200.
