The Dell Streak is finally arriving this Friday on AT&T for a price of $299.99. The device was said to be released in July but somehow it was put off. But this time, it’s official that the Dell Streak is to hit the US for a price of $299.99 with a 2-year contract from AT&T.
If you haven’t owned a tablet or iPad, the Dell Streak should be a great choice to go for. The device packs a 1GHz processor, a 5-inch WVGA touch screen and 5-megapixel camera with dual-flash LED. It supports WiFi, 3G, and Bluetooth connectivity. It’s got 2G built-in memory and supports Flash contents. It’ll first come with the Android 1.6 but is upgradable to Android Froyo 2.2 once it’s available.

Sounds like a good alternative, i look forward to when touch screens are wafer thin, no longer “screens” but just sheets of projected light. Still, for now, this Streak is pretty reasonable price wise – all depends on how it operates though really
