Ceton has started shipping its InfiniTV quad-CableCARD tuner to those who’ve placed pre-orders. The InfiniTV quad-CableCARD tuner allows your computer or a dedicated media center to let you watch digital cable TV.
The Ceton tuner card is capable of streaming or recording four separate TV channels simultaneously in both SD and HD resolutions, including the encrypted or premium channels. The tuner is claimed to support any US cable TV systems as long as a Multi-stream cable card is provided by the cable provider.
The Ceton Cable tuner card doesn’t come cheap, is priced at $399 and you’ll have to incur monthly CableCARD rentals that typically cost $2-6/month from various providers.
