The first iPhone 4 jailbreak tool is out, which is available in the form called JailBreakMe. This tool works differently from the usual iPhone jailbreak you’ve been used to. You do not have to tether the iPhone to a computer for the installation of the tool/app onto your iPhone 4. What you need is to launch the Safari browser to access the website which will then modify the iOS of the iPhone, iPod or iPad to present you a “slide to jailbreak” button for jailbreaking the device.
The JailBreakMe for the iPhone 4 was made available by Comex, who is also part of the iPhone dev team. But a number of bugs with the JailBreakMe discovered, which would cause the MMS and FaceTime call broken on the iPhone 4. Anyway, Comex has known about the issues and the fixes are now available from the website.
Please note this is just the jailbreak tool for iPhone 4. The unlock tool isn’t available yet, but is believed to be coming soon. If you wanna try the JailBreakMe, just visit the website JailBreakMe.com and launch Safari on your iPhone 4.
