4D Dynamics PicoScan – a pico projector-based 3D scanner

Pico projector has found its way to be useful in 3D object scanning. 4D Dynamics has released a 3D scanner called PicoScan that was built based on a pico projector in combination with a Canon 1000D DSLR and a 3D scanning software based on the Mephisto scan engine.

iPhone 4 Antenn-aid Band-aid fixes signal problems

Google discontinues Nexus One

Google Nexus One phone was not performing in sales as good as expected, so Google has decided to discontinue this Android smart phone. Google Nexus One managed to achieve only ten percent of the sales of the Apple iPhones in the same period, therefore Google has decided to discontinue the Nexus One.

Bluetooth headset in a wristwatch, with LCD screen

It isn’t comfortable having to wear a Bluetooth headset on your ear all day. Thanko has a better idea which lets you carry a Bluetooth headset right on your wrist like a wristwatch. It also has an LCD screen that will display the number of the incoming call, so you can visually decide if you wanna pick up and then detach and insert it into your ear.

Asus has announced a new 3D monitor which uses the nVidia Vision 3D to deliver 3D contents. The Asus 3D monitor requires you to use a pair of the active shutter glasses to enjoy the 3D. Magellan announces a trio of eXplorist GPS devices

Magellan has added a trio of eXplorist GPS models in its line, the 510, 610 and 710, which come packed with decent hardware specs. Each of the three eXplorist GPS devices has a 3.2-megapixel camera, a 3-inch touchscreen display, microphone, speaker and memory expansion with GPX compatibility. They’re useful for the users to record and share their adventures on the go.

The three Magellan GPS devices also pack high-accuracy GPS system that ranges from 3 to 5 meters. And they pack pretty impressive battery life that is able to last up to 16 hours. These GPS units are also waterproof and meet the IPX-7 standard, and they’re loaded with worldwide map.

Livescribe announces new Echo smart pen

Livescribe has announced a new version of its smart pen, called the LiveScribe Echo which is similar to its predecessor, LiveScribe Pulse that is able to record your handwriting and audio. But the LiveScribe Echo is thinner and lighter, packs more storage, which is now available in 4GB and 8GB versions which can store 400 hours and 800 hours of audio respectively.

Apple : Free Bumper case to all iPhone 4 owners

In Apple’s press conference, Apple concluded that it was a common problem that most smartphones would face signal problems while holding them. According to Apple, the iPhone 4 only drops slightly more calls then the iPhone 3GS – it’s just a very small fraction – less than 1 more call per 100.
