HTC has introduced a new screen type called the Super LCD display, which is meant to meet the increasing demands of their HTC smart phones, especially those with screen size of 3.7 inches. The two HTC phones that have been officially announced on the list to get the new SLCD display technology later this summer, are the HTC Desire and Nexus One.
The new SLCD displays offer a comparable visual experience to HTC’s current 3.7 inch displays but with additional benefits including battery performance – about 5 times better in power management. The new SLCD displays also offer improved performance from earlier LCD panels and wider viewing angles that are enabled by Sony’s new VSPEC III technology.
