We’ve seen a number of wireless HD video transmission technologies but none of them has reached the capabilities of transmitting 3D video in HD quality. But it’ll not be too far in the future, you’ll be able to go completely wireless in your home, for transmitting wireless videos in 3D and HD quality. As the Israel company, Amimon has developed a wireless 3D HD video transmission system that uses the WHDI (Wireles High-Def Interface) technology to help you achieve that.
They’ve tested wirelessly beaming the 3D video from a 3D Blu-ray player to a Samsung 3D LCD TV. The 3D Blu-ray player is connected to a transmitter via an HDMI cable while the 3D TV is also hooked up to a receiver via HDMI too. Amimon have the reference design of the wireless 3D video transmission system and they’re looking for Japanese makers to get it to mass production.
