Google Nexus One phone was not performing in sales as good as expected, so Google has decided to discontinue this Android smart phone. Google Nexus One managed to achieve only ten percent of the sales of the Apple iPhones in the same period, therefore Google has decided to discontinue the Nexus One.
Google had even confirmed the discontinue of Nexus One as early as last Friday, July 16th and they’ve received the final order of the handsets from the phone maker HTC. In fact the Google Android OS is even outpacing the Apple iOS, but managing a phone hardware like the Google Nexus Phone is not within their comfort zone, so it’s best to be out of the hardware business for the time being.
Anyway, the Google Nexus One will still be available in a few markets including Europe (Vodafone), Korea (KT) and a few other smaller markets. The customer support will still be available even though the Nexus One is no longer available.
