Those who’re filled with lots of outdoor activities should love to hear more waterproof and rugged video cameras coming their ways. DXG have just introduced their Sportster line of rugged and waterproof HD video cameras.
First in the DXG Sportster series is a video cam that comes in a traditional camcorder shape but with the 1080p video recoding capability and is able to go underwater for up to 10m. The device has a “Dive” button that will adjust the lens to suit the underwater colors and conditions, once pressed.
The camera also has 12-megapixel for still images, and includes USB/AV and HDMI outputs. It has internal memory of 128MB and is expandable via an SD/SDHC card for up to 32GB. This first Sportster camera is priced at $170 and there will be some other models on their ways including a pistol-grip model but no release date has been mentioned yet.
