Samsung has announced a new Blu-ray disc combo, SH-B123, which comes with a 12X read performance for BD that is dubbed as the world’s fastest. The device is able to read BD-ROMs at up to 12X speed, CDs at up to 48X and DVDs at up to 16X.

Two Apple devices use the microSIM cards, iPhone 4 and the iPad 3G+WiFi model. But unfortunately, Apple has confirmed that you can’t swap the microSIM card between the iPhone 4 and iPad 3G. So, you’e unable to use the microSIM for your iPad 3G on your iPhone 4.

The opensource electronic firm, LiquidWare has released a tablet building kit that allows you to build a Linux tablet with a 4.4-inch of OLED display with resolution of 480×272. The kit includes a BeagleBoard Rev C4 board, which already has a a 720Mhz ARM Cortex-A8 OMAP CPU, a 20mm speaker, an SD card slot which has a 4GB card included, WiFi, mini USB port and a battery.

Toshiba has announced a number of new laptops in its T200 series which come in relatively affordable price tags for the US market. These laptops have been shown off at Computex in Taiwan but their prices for the US will come relatively affordable that will start at $470.

There are a number of firsts for Android phones. The Innocomm Shark is the first 3.5G Android smart phone that comes integrated with the Telegent Mobile TV technology. This handset allows you to watch mobile TV on the run, and it packs a 3.2-inch WVGA (800×480) capacitive touchscreen display.

Super Talent has prepped their new solid state drive called the TeraDrive CT SSD, to be ready to ship to the US today. The TeraDrive CT SSD uses the rare SandForce 1222 SSD processor and supports the SATA II 3Gbps interface. And it boasts super high speeds of sequential read and write of 285 and 275 MB/sec respectively.
