Mushkin Enhanced has unveiled their new solid state drive, called the Callisto deluxe SSD, which comes with enhanced IO performance that is now able to reach up to 50,000 of IOPS (input/output operations per second). The figure may sound irrelevant or unfamiliar to some people. But this converts to the equivalent of impressively high performances of read and write speeds of 285MB/s and 275MB/s respectively.
The Callisto deluxe SSD is equipped with the industry-acclaimed Sandforce SF-1200 controller which allows it to reach the mentioned speeds. This SSD is available in a few capacities including the 60GB, 120GB and 240GB and can be purchased directly online through Mushkin’s partners. And each purchase is backed by a 3-year warranty.
