Thanko has combined binoculars and an 8-megapixel camera into one single device. The device allows you to view distant objects as well as taking some pictures on the run. The camera has a 4X digital zoom while the binoculars have 8x zoom power.
It also has a microSD card slot that supports up to 16GB of memory card. There is a little 1.5-inch TFT LCD screen which is meant for viewing while taking picture. It also has a USB 1.1 port, is capable of shooting video at QVGA quality (320×240) at 30fps but it can produce pictures with max resolution of 4,032×3,024.
The hybrid device is now available at GeekStuff4U for a price of $285. It weighs about 450g, which is lightweight enough for you to bring along while you’re on the run.
