The latest Huawei 3G pocket router, E585, is specially designed for those who want to know more information about their routers while they’re connected such as the connection, battery and the amount of data transferred. This E585 3G router comes equipped with an OLED display that shows you the three mentioned-pieces of information, so you could save little time of having to launch an application for the information.
The Huawei 3G router also allows you to configure it via a new web-based setup page on a Linux, Mac or Windows PC. It’ll also continue charging while it shares its 3G connection over WiFi with up to five other devices. The E585 also has a microSDHC slot, but it’s unknown whether it can be used as a network attached storage e.g. to allow others to access the data on the memory card via network. Anyway, the Huawei router will be ready for UK market in July for a price of £50 (or $74).
