Casio has announced a new projector with high brightness which is the first using the solid state light source. The projector is an eco-friendly gear and has been given a name called the Green Slim. It uses the Casio-developed Hybrid light source which makes use of both LED and laser technology to allow super brightness as well as 20,000 hours of light life.
The Green Slim projector is earth-friendly, requires low maintenance which eliminates the need for a short life mercury lamp & disposal and is economical to operate. It can be rotated 90 degrees for the portrait display when using the WXGA format models.
There are a number of models available for the Green Slim projectors including the WXGA models (with resolution at 1280 x 800 pixels (16:10)) and USB-enabled models, which allow you to side load content for projection using USB drives or they can also communicate with the PC wirelessly.
The USB-enabled models require an optional wireless adapter and it can wirelessly connect up to 32 computers and allow up to four computers to display simultaneously. No pricing and availability have been announced yet but they’re showcasing the projectors during InfoComm 2010 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the Central Hall, Booth #C5870.
