Nokia has announced a number of entry-level phones, C1 and C2, which a few of them pack dual-SIM capabilities. The C2 phone is a real dual-sim phone that is targeted at the developing world. The Nokia C2 handset allows you to send and receive text and calls to either SIM, giving you two numbers to work from.
The C2 also allows the second SIM card to be hot swappable and removed while the phone is on. Some other features of the C2 include information on healthcare, agriculture, education and entertainment through the Nokia Ovi Life Tools service. Email is also available on C2 via the Ovi mail service. The handset also has a VGA camera, Bluetooth, GPRS, and an impressively long battery life that lasts up to 16.5 days on standby. And it’s only priced around 45 Euros.

The C1 handset has three versions, which are the Nokia C1-00, C1-01 and C1-02. The C1-00 is also a double-sim phone and is the cheaper of the three that costs around 30 Euros. The C1-00 allows you to insert two SIM cards into it but you can only use one SIM card at one time, but the user has the option to switch between the two cards by holding down a key.
The C1-00 also packs impressively long battery life that lasts up to six weeks on standby and it’s able to hold up to 500 phonebook entries and 250 text messages. The handset also has built-in flashlight, an FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack. And it’ll be available in Q3 this year.
The other two C1 phones, C1-01 (left) and C1-02 (below), each has a color screen, web browsing, Bluetooth, music, GPRS and they have similar looks and use the Series 40 interface. The Nokia C1-01 will be priced around 39 Euros. It has a VGA camera, supports up to 32GB SD memory card, mail, chat, built-in FM radio and music player. The C1-02 costs a little less at 35 Euros, but has no camera, but it does include Bluetooth, Ovi Mail and Chat. Both phones will be launched later this year.
