
Adidas has developed some high-tech sneakers that have been integrated with augmented reality technology. These AR sneakers will be best used as interaction devices for online games or social networking apps.
The Adidas AR sneakers have running computer built in them, and will be able to work with a flash-based application that allows a virtual world to be superimposed on a physical world, which is captured by a camera and the shoe that moves in real time.
These AR sneakers should open a new way to interacting with games and social networking apps, which should allow some foot movement to get what you want in the games or apps. There is also plan to release some online games using the AR sneaker as the interaction device.
These AR sneakers are now available in US and European countries in 5 different models and retailing between $65 and $95. Check out the clip below.
