
Zoom has announced their smallest handheld recorder to date, called the Zoom H1 Handy recorder, which weighs only 2 oz. The tiny recorder is able to record big sounds even though it comes in such a tiny form factor. The Zoom H1 packs studio-quality microphones that is also found on Zoom’s renowned recorder, H2.
The Zoom H1 is priced around $100, and it has two built-in microphones that allow it it to absorb sounds in X/Y pattern and record sounds with stunning stereo imaging depth and clarity. This pocket-sized H1 recorder delivers crystal clear 24-bit/96 kHz stereo recording, which is best used for music recording and recordings in your meetings, lectures, interviews and other music practices etc.
The H1 supports up to 32GB microSDHC memory cards, which can accommodate up to 50 hours of recording time. It uses a single AA battery which lasts up to 10 hours of continuous operation. The H1 has a useful accessory kit which costs additional $25 and consists of a number of useful gears including a windscreen, AC adapter (USB type), USB cable, adjustable tripod stand, soft carrying pouch and mic clip adapter.
