Acer is developing a 7-inch tablet which has been shown off by Gianfranco Lanci, the CEO of Acer. The device is likely to surface sometime by end of this year or definitely in 2010. The choice of OS for this tablet will either be the Google Android or Google Chrome.

Acer has an Android smart phone, called the Acer Liquid Stream, has hit the FCC recently, which should also hint that it’d be reaching the consumer market pretty soon. The handset will run Android 2.1 instead of the Android 2.2; the reason could be Acer has been developing a brand new custom user interface before the Android 2.2 was announced.

Sony will show off their 4.1-inch rollable OLED display at SID 2010 in Washington. The rollable OLED screen is only 80 µm in thickness which has its guts made up of OTFTs organic thin film transistors that were made with original organic semiconductor material.
