
Merel Technologies are prepping their own multi-touch table that would become the competitor for the Microsoft Surface and Sony AtracTable and carry a more affordable price. Although these multi-touch tables are claimed affordable but the 32-inch model already runs you at $3,200.
They also have a larger model, 42 inches that costs about $4,200. These multi-touch web tables are capable of gesture recognition, object recognition and it uses multi-touch as the main interactivity to the users. The tables use a stacked multi-touch layer as well as LCD panel as the interface.
There is an integrated computer that powers the multi-touch tables. They can be customized such as trimming down their sizes to as big as a coffee table or the color choices can be customized to suit your taste. Watch the clip below for the mTouch table in action.
