Samsung has presented a 19-inch transparent AMOLED display at SID, which is dubbed as the world’s largest transparent AMOLED display to date. The company first showed off a notebook with 14-in transparent AMOLED display at CES 2010 and now the 19-inch transparent AMOLED is another new achievement of the company.
the 19-inch transparent AMOLED display boasts a transparency level of 30%. The company even claims that they’re ready to roll out much larger transparent AMOLED displays, as big as 40 inches.
Samsung also has hopes the transparent AMOLED displays will be utilized in future vehicle windscreens or advertising platforms used at malls. There should be more other applications besides the two mentioned.
