
Some of you who prefer smart phones running the Windows Mobile platform, can get hold of the LG Fathom, if you can’t wait till any Windows Phone 7 handsets to surface. The LG Fathom is ready for its US roll-out, to be on Verizon and it’ll run the Windows Mobile 6.5.3
The LG Fathom is powered by a 1 GHz processor, packs a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a slide-out QWERTY, WiFi, microSD card slot (for up to 16GB storage), a 3.2MP camera. The handset will start its pre-orders on May 27th and hit the streets on June 3rd.
The handset will run you $150 with a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate. Some other previously not mentioned goodies are Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi (up to wireless N), built-in MP3/WMA player, Windows® Media Player 10 Mobile and video player, USB mass storage for file transfer between microSD card and PC, one-touch speaker phone, voice command etc.
