HTC Vision, a Desire-like Android QWERTY phone

The recently launched high-end HTC smart phones including HTC Desire, HTC Incredible and HTC EVO 4G, come with no physical QWERTY keyboard. The big fans of QWERTY may find it difficult to adapt themselves to the virtual keyboard presented on the touchscreen. In order to fulfill the need, HTC is currently prepping an Desire-like, codenamed HTC Vision that will come with sliding physical QWERTY.

The HTC Vision will come with a touchscreen that boasts a resolution of 800×480. Other than the physical QWERTY, the handset should pack more or less the same profile with HTC Desire. The exact details are still nonexistent at the moment. It will either run Android 2.1 or with a very chance to run the latest Android 2.2 since HTC promises Android 2.2 for most of its phones launched in 2010.

The above picture isn’t the real HTC Vision. It’s just a mock-up that mixes HTC Desire with the Touch Pro 2’s keyboard, presenting a non-Android OS.

Purchased a new Desire about a month ago as a business cellphone but am very dissatisfied , firstly i would have about 900 contacts on my prior XDA and was able to view by business or personal, not so on Desire only by personal which is of no use particularly with no search option either. Android 2.2 is supposed to have search facility but not different view option launch date seems to differ each time . Battery pretty good approx 18 hrs medium usage. Bluetooth poor, paired with parrott car kit ok for day or so however won’t connect even by unpairing and pairing new, same problem with bluetooth headset……..any ideas
