
We told you rumors about Google TV and now the Google TV is confirmed coming. It has been officially announced by Google at their Google I/O Developer conference. The Google TV is about bringing the power of Internet to your TV, which allows you to search TV programs on the Internet as well as searching your own library of content and to pick a show you wanna watch.
The Google TV will be integrated into a number TVs from various manufacturers or it’ll come included in set-top boxes, which allow you to connect to the Internet to use the Google TV service on your existing TV. The currently known manufacturer that is going to produce TV to come bundled with Google TV is Sony, while Intel is responsible for making the processors required for the Google TV. The Google TV is likely to use Intel’s Atom range of processors that have been widely used in netbooks and computers.
The Google TV of course will run on Android platform and it’ll have the Google Chrome browser that lets you browse the Internet for your TV program. No details yet about when the Google TV will launch, for a better idea of how the Google TV works, watch the clip below.
